Genesis Kicks Off 50th Anniversary Celebrations

Every year, Genesis sponsors an Erev Thanksgiving service, the only joint religious service held each year that brings together both of our congregations.

"Erev" is Hebrew for "the evening of" and in the past this service was held on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving.

This year, the celebration was unique. The service on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, November 19, 20023, kicked off the year-long celebration of our 50th Anniversary!

During the service and at the reception (oneg) which followed, remarks were delivered about service work, a land acknowledgement, and the significance of doors to a welcoming community. The latter remarks delivered by the President of the Board will be published later in the Genesis Journal.
